The Jambi City Government, through the Environmental Agency (DLH), has officially partnered with PT Regen Bioteknologi Solusi Indonesia to transform the waste management system at the Talang Gulo Final Disposal Site (TPA) into a more modern and sustainable operation.
This strategic collaboration was formalised through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) on January 20, 2026. This step was taken as a concrete solution to address urban waste issues by utilising environmental biotechnology innovations.
Present at the ceremony were the Head of Jambi City DLH, Mahruzar S.T., the Head of the Talang Gulo TPA Waste Processing UPTD, and the management team of PT Regen Bioteknologi Solusi Indonesia. The CEO of PT Regen Bioteknologi Solusi Indonesia, Heryadi Putra Chan, stated that his company brings a new approach focused on optimising the value of waste, rather than just final disposal.
“We are committed to bringing effective and sustainable technology. Our focus is not only on reducing accumulation, but creating a system that has a positive impact on the economy and community welfare,” said Heryadi.
The technology implemented is claimed to significantly reduce residual volume with high-efficiency and environmentally friendly principles. This aligns with Jambi City’s vision to transition from a conventional management system to an innovation-based system.
Meanwhile, the Head of Jambi City DLH, Mahruzar S.T., views this collaboration as a strategic step to accelerate regional transformation. He hopes the presence of this technology partner can bring significant changes to the environmental quality in Jambi.
“Waste issues need concrete solutions. We see that PT Regen has the capacity and technology that aligns with the government’s vision to realise a clean and environmentally conscious city,” emphasised Mahruzar.
Through this synergy, the Talang Gulo TPA is expected to become a turning point for integrated waste management that can improve the quality of life for the people of Jambi City in the future.
